Day out at the Gee Gee's

Hi Guys! How were your weekends?

Last Friday I spent the day with friends at Cheltenham Gold Cup and had an amazing time!
The day started off very wet and cold, but we didn't let that put a dampener on our high spirits and I was glad I choose to wear my Lipsy as it kept me warm and dry all day, and looks really cool too.

I originally bought this top and skirt to wear separately. But after searching the shops high and low and not being able to find a top to go with the skirt my mum suggested I tried them together, and I loved the combo- Good choice Mum!

As I knew I’d be on my feet all day, I teamed my outfit with my trusty over the knee boots, as they are mega comfy and they keep my legs nice and warm.

I had such a good day, even though Friday 13th didn't bring me much luck!

Saturday night on the town

One thing that will never go out of fashion is black and white, as it goes with everything and anything and you can wear it through all the seasons and still be on trend.

This gorgeous dress is from the Lipsy London love Michelle Keegan range. I currently have a slight obsession with this collection and I think it is by far the best celebrity collaboration Lipsy have done.

I teamed the dress with these cobalt blue heels to give my outfit a bit of a colour pop and finished off the look with a statement necklace, and then I was ready to hit the town for dancing and drinks!

Black & White

I do think Valentine's Day is a bit over rated, why do you need one day a year to show someone how much they mean to you when you can show them every day? But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy going out for an Italian with the boyfriend and eating way too much.

I blogged about this top and skirt in my previous Valentine's Day: What to Wear post, then after a lot of debating I finally decided to buy them especially when the skirt had 20% off, bargain!

It wasn't the warmest of evenings and it was absolutely chucking it down, so instead of teaming with heels like I suggested, I pulled on my over the knee boots and added my rose gold watch to finish off.

Sorry the photos aren't the best; the weather has been so crap lately I haven't managed to get outside for any shoots.

Valentine's Day: What to Wear

It's hard to believe that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, where has January gone?!

With Valentine's Day landing on a Saturday this year it's the great excuse to get dressed up and hit the town, date or no date.

I've put together three different looks using some of my favourite pieces from Miss Guided, creating the perfect outfits for a dinner date with your partner or for dancing the night away with your friends.

Look 1: Black & White

Look 2: Soft Suede

Look 3: Let the trousers do the talking

What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

Off to a Premier

Afternoon! Hope you've all had good weekends:)

Yesterday I spent my afternoon at the European premier of the Shaun the Sheep movie in Leicester Square, London. It was my first red carpet event, well green carpet so I didn't really know what to expect, but it was a lot calmer than I thought it would be even with the crowds of people and press lining the carpet. Jenny Faulkner kicked things off, then Rizzle Kicks took to the green carpet and did a DJ set. There was a few more celebrities hanging around like Ed Sheeran and Eliza Doolitte, but unfortunately I didn't get to meet them.

Thankfully the 'Down at the Farm' dress code was optional, as I wouldn't of felt comfortable dressed as a farmer and wouldn't of got to wear this cute outfit. I picked up the top from River Islands new spring collection, as I really liked the drape detailing. I was going for smart casual, so just teamed the top with black jeans, over the knee boots and this beautiful jacket my boyfriend bought me for Christmas.

Before the movie started we all donned are Shaun ears to get in the spirit of things, so it just looked like I was sat in a screen with a flock of sheep. The film was really funny and I would defiantly recommend taking your kids or nieces/nephews to see it, it will be in cinemas from 6th February. After the movie I headed across to the Criterion for the after party for a few glasses of Prosecco and some mingling before catching the train home.

Floral Pants

Hiya! I had a few spare minutes before rushing out the door for work the other morning, so decided to use the opportunity to take some pictures of these beautiful trousers, which were a bargain I picked up in the Miss Guided sale along with some other great pieces. I wanted to keep the trousers the focal point of my outfit, so paired them with a simple crew neck top, quilted black pumps, black sole and tan bag. The bag really compliments the trousers and brings out all the different colours in the pattern.

What bargains have you picked up?

Embracing the 90's

Hey Guys, Happy New Year!

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while it's been a mad few weeks at work and with it being Christmas, plus the weather has been so crap I haven't been able to get out and take any pictures.

Today's post, my first of twenty fifteen features these gorgeous over the knee boots, which were a Christmas present from my boyfriend. I've wanted boots like these for a while, as there great for winter when you want to get your legs out but not freeze to death and they look good with jeans. I teamed them with this grey turtle neck top I picked up in the sales, as I loved the cute cut outs they make the top a lot less plain and boring. The faux leather skirt was a present from my Grandparents and, also looks really nice teamed with a crop jumper or worn with an over sized shirt tucked in.

What do you think?
